KBM-802 is a mercapto-functional silane coupling agent, specifically 3-Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane. It very effective with sulfur cross-linked EPM, urethane and polysulfide. Also effective with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), phenolic, epoxy, polyethylene, polypropylene, peroxide crosslinked EPDM, polystyrene, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), epichlorohydrin rubber and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). It is also used to improve adhesion and compatibility between organic and inorganic materials in applications involving rubbers, adhesives, and coatings. KBM-802 enhances crosslinking and mechanical properties and is effective in weather-resistant coatings and hard-coat materials.
