KBE-1003 is a vinyl-functional silane coupling agent, specifically Vinyltriethoxysilane. It enhances moisture-curable systems and is widely used in resin modification to improve physical and thermal properties. It is effective for applications involving structural reinforcement of glass fibers or minerals and provides good interfacial adhesion to substrates like glass, metals, and ceramics. Furthermore, since the methoxy groups of KBE-1003 are more hydrolytically sensitive than most silane coupling agents, it is also employed as a moisture scavenger and crosslinking additive in moisture-cured systems such as silylated polyethers, silylated polyurethanes, and silicone RTVs.
